Your personal checking account may be eligible for Courtesy Pay. This new service allows us to pay a check written on your checking account, even if it causes the account to become overdrawn. Courtesy Pay provides you with an added layer of safety should you accidentally write checks for more than you have in your account, or if an inadvertent error causes the account to become overdrawn.
Courtesy Pay adds a $500 overdraft limit to your personal checking account. If you overdraw your account, we may pay each check up to your $500 account limit. Your account will be charged with a Courtesy Pay fee of $30 on each overdraft we pay within the limit. Best of all, you will not be charged non-sufficient funds or NSF fees unless your overdrafts exceed the Courtesy Pay amount allowed by the credit union. If you have established other overdraft protection methods such as automatic transfer from your other accounts, we will always look to pay any overdraft by those other methods first.
